Link to my new website: www4.ncsu.edu/~ipapapa My name is Ioannis Papapanagiotou (M'04) and I was born in Patras, Greece, in 1983. I have graduated from the Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Polytechnic School of University of Patras (5 years Dipl. Eng). My research interests include Energy Consumption, Quality of Service (QoS) and Mobility in infrastructure, adhoc and Mesh Networks based on the WiFi IEEE 802.11(e/s) and WiMAX IEEE 802.16e standards. I am currently working on either Multi-Hop Relay (802.16j MMR) or Mesh Networks, with Energy Consumption minimization. I am currently occupied in Wireless Telecommunication Laboratory as research and teaching assistant. I am also working with the Telemedicine unit, Medical School, University of Patras. From August 2007, I will be a PhD student in the Networking Group, Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering, North Carolina State University (NCSU) under the supervision of the Professor Michael Devetsikiotis. My supervisor in my activities at the Wireless Telecommunication Laboratory, to which I currently belong, is Professor Stavros Kotsopoulos.
